About BTDS
The formation of Bodoland Tourism Development society
among the tourism stakeholders of BTR is a significant
step towards fostering collaboration and sustainable
development within the tourism industry.
The members of the society felt that tourism is a dynamic
and multifaceted industry that plays a pivotal role in the
global economy. It not only contributes significantly to
GDP but also generates employment opportunities and
promotes cultural exchange. However, the success of the
tourism sector depends on the cooperation and coordination
of various stakeholders, including government bodies,
local communities, businesses, and non-profit
organizations. Recognizing the need for a unified approach
to address the challenges and opportunities in the tourism
industry, the stakeholders came together to create a
society. This society is typically comprised of
representatives from various sectors, like Tour operators,
accommodation units, Jeeps safari ownwes, Hoteliers,
Tourist guides etc. including Government Bodies who are
either adviser/ Patrons.
The society was formed on 19 th November, 2021
